6-24-2021 — FM Stone Broker Bill Kuhns assisted Continental Mirrored Graphics in purchasing a 14,800 SF industrial building in Elkhart. The seller was Hughes Realty & Equipment. This will be a second Elkhart location for Continental Mirrored Graphics. The company has another location at 1838 Middlebury Street. The custom glass and mirror fabricators have been in business since 1995. Their products include: pattern cut glass and mirror, tempered glass and mirror, cabinet glass, painted glass, backsplash, tabletop and shelves, glass railing, décor mirror and framing for a variety of commercial and residential industries.
MX5 & Associates Leases 10,000 SF
11-5-2020 — MX5 & Associates is the new tenant in 10,000 SF of industrial space in Suite 2 at 24615 CR 45 in Elkhart. Bill Kuhns assisted in the lease negotiations between MX5 & Associates and Jack and Nancy Wait. MX5 & Associates, door manufacturers who distribute their product nationwide, is expanding into the new, larger space.
Chubb Steel Buys 98,442 SF Building
10-5-2020 — Chubb Steel is the new owner of the 98,442 SF industrial building at 1900 W. Hively Avenue in Elkhart. The building was formerly occupied by Zurn and had been on the market for almost 1,600 days prior to being sold. Pete Letherman, SIOR, CCIM, represented the seller, Zurn Pex Inc., in the sale and Bill Kuhns represented Chubb Steel. The building purchase will allow Chubb Steel to have both a weld shop and a final shop in the new location. The steel fabrication business already has three other plants in the area.
Creative Sewing Designs Growing
9-2-2020 — Creative Sewing Designs Inc. is the new owner of a 26,712 SF industrial property at 1919 Cassopolis Street as well as an additional 2.81 acres of vacant land directly behind the building. FM Stone broker Bill Kuhns assisted in the sale. Creative Sewing Designs, established by James Rupright in 2014, has seen its business expand exponentially in the healthcare field since the Spring of 2020. The company now makes PPE face masks, protective gowns, medical mattress covers and other medical-related products for the healthcare industry in its main location at 2020 Industrial Parkway in Elkhart. In addition, the company works with local RV facilities making custom and specialty upholstered pieces from cushions and custom RV furniture to pop-up camper tents. Rupright hopes to use the new Cassopolis Street building for displaying many of the company’s products.
Sun-Wave Product Leases Space
8-20-2020 — Sun-Wave Product is now leasing 9,440 SF of industrial space at 2917 Paul Drive in Elkhart. The building, next door to their existing Elkhart location at 2900 Paul Drive, will be used for expansion. The company makes replacement awning fabrics and sunshades for RVs, plus RV slideout covers. FM Broker Bill Kuhns assisted in the lease negotiations between Sun-Wave and the landlord.
