11-15-2017 -- Another area Dollar General will be open soon at the southeast corner of Fieldhouse Street & SR 19 in Elkhart. Brent Miller, SIOR, assisted in the sale of 1.57 acres at that location to Elkhart Fieldhouse BTS Retail, LLC. The land was previously owned by three owners: John Turk, Dimension Holdings LLC and Laura Jane’s Cookies. The retail store chain has more than 12,500 stores in 43 states.
Tredroc Coming To Elkhart
11-9-2017 -- Tredroc Tire Services is the new owner of the 36,510 SF industrial building at 2208 Clay Street in Elkhart. The company specializes in commercial tires, retreading and OTR tires. Tredroc, headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, has over 26 locations in seven states. The Clay Street building will be Tredroc’s first Elkhart location. Its new building is on 4.63 acres on the city’s southwest side, close to State Road 19. FM Stone’s Brent Miller, SIOR, represented Tredroc Tire Services and Bill Kuhns, SIOR, represented the seller, Clay Street Properties, in the transaction.
North Side Appliance Buys Goshen Property
11-7-2017 -- North Side Appliance Inc. is the new owner of 1501 & 1503 Elkhart Road in Goshen. This 17,316 SF retail complex of five buildings on 1.83 acres, which was formerly a John Deere dealership, was sold by Kauffman Sons, Inc. FM Stone's Bill Kuhns assisted the seller in the transaction. North Side Appliance was opened in Goshen in 2006 by Dan and Carol Miller.

Forest River Buys in Ligonier
10-31-2017 -- Pete Letherman, SIOR, CCIM, assisted Forest River in purchasing the 118,337 SF industrial building at 710 Gerber Street in Ligonier. The building, which includes 10 acres, was purchased from Kropf Family Real Estate LLC. Forest River plans to create about 130 jobs before year’s end at this new location which will produce Puma brand travel trailers. The building was most recently used by Creative Wood, a furniture maker. Forest River, a Berkshire Hathaway company, produces recreational vehicles, pontoon boats, cargo trailers and buses. The company, headquartered in Elkhart, operates multiple manufacturing facilities throughout the Midwest and West Coast.
Kuhns Sells Nappanee Motel
10-26-2017 -- Bill Kuhns, SIOR, assisted in the sale of the 66-room, 20,216 SF motel at 2004 W. Market Street in Nappanee to O.M. Shiv LLC. The former Nappanee Inn is now The CountrySide Inn and is open to the public. The Inn is located near Amish Acres, a tourist attraction created from an 80-acre Old Order Amish farm.
